Longboat Key Estates is a traditional neighborhood located in one of the most desirable subdivisions of the Sarasota County housing market. This barrier island community lies right in the middle of Longboat Key; it overlooks the Sarasota Bay estuary as well as Bayshore Gardens across the water.

This single-family home community was developed in the wake of World War II during a time of great prosperity. Most of the veterans who initially built homes in Longboat Key Estates wanted nothing more than to be able to enjoy everything the Sarasota Keys have to offer, which includes boating, fishing and going to the beach.

There are just 46 home sites in this island community. Some homeowners enjoy views of the Sarasota Bay as well as of the Gulf of Mexico from their second-floor balconies.

There are community amenities as well: a fishing pier, common dock, a small park, and even a private section of the beach on the Gulf side of the island. Walking to the beach takes about five minutes.
