Magnolia Point in Sarasota is part of a series of smaller neighborhoods being developed by Neal Communities across South Florida. Over the last few years, real estate development in this regional housing market has focused on massive, master-planned projects such as Palmer Ranch and Lakewood Ranch. The current trend is moving away from those large communities into smaller, more intimate settings such as Magnolia Point.

Located on Whitfield Avenue, Magnolia Point can be found between Lockwood Ridge Road and Federal Highway 301. This is a very quiet and mostly residential part of Sarasota County, and it is not too far from the burgeoning University Parkway shopping district.

For Magnolia Point, home builder Neal Communities has chosen floor plans from the Inspiration series, which features single-family residences that are perfect for families and first-time home buyers.

Magnolia Point is being developed as gated community that is afforded privacy and seclusion by means of green areas set aside as nature preserves. This neighborhood is blessed with a couple of lakes and ponds, which means that a few lucky home buyers will be able to acquire waterfront properties.

There are five floor plans to choose from at Magnolia Point, where less than 75 homes will be developed. The models start with the Expression, which measures 1,772 square feet and has three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The largest floor plan, the Ovation, features four bedrooms and three full bathrooms built on 2,577 square feet. As of summer 2015, pricing at Magnolia Point started under $285K, with the largest floor plans listed under $320K.

Magnolia Point residents enjoy a great location. Two Wal-Mart Supercenters are situated to the north and south of the neighborhood, each less than 10 minutes away. Driving to either Bradenton Beach or Siesta Key takes less than 30 minutes, and a couple of county parks are just beyond the main gate.
