Bertha Palmer is the visionary after whom the Palmer Ranch master-planned development of Sarasota County is named. In 2015, pricing at the Oaks Bayside started under $500K and continued to nearly $4M. In terms of real estate sales, this community is very active; it is not uncommon for home shoppers to find a couple of dozen listings available at any given time. The typical home buyer at the Oaks Bayside is in the market for spacious properties of at least three bedrooms built on more than 4,000 square feet of living space.
The Oaks Bayside is part of an exclusive country club that features two championship gold courses and a palatial clubhouse. Besides golf, club members and their guests can also enjoy tennis, croquet, fitness center and swimming; children have their own playground in the club grounds to enjoy. Residents here live very close to the Westfield Square Mall and to major shopping districts.
