Waterfront properties in Southwest Florida are highly sought-after, and there are not too many opportunities left for house hunters in Manatee County who wish to acquire a brand-new home that looks out to a natural body of water. Riverside Point in Bradenton presents such an opportunity, but the number of home sites is limited and expected to sell quickly.
Riverside Point is a residential development that sits on a private inland peninsula of the Braden River. The neighborhood is located off State Road 70, about two miles west of I-75; it can also be accessed by boat from the Gulf of Mexico, the Manatee River or Ward Lake.
There are several single-family waterfront home sites with optional boat slips at Riverside Point. This gated community is being developed by Lee Wetherington Homes, Vision Group and Arthur Rutenberg. The architectural design at Riverside Point will be Mediterranean and Key West style that is prevalent across Southwest Florida. Lee Wetherington is applying an elegant Island Colonial style to the neighborhood, and their first model was completed in late 2013.
Homes at Riverside Point will start at $500,000 for a three-bedroom and two bathroom floor plan with 2,300 square feet of living space. One of the planned models, the Osprey 2405, includes a swimming pool with a dedicated bathroom, two-car garage and a private guest suite.
Boating is the main amenity at Riverside Point. There is plenty to explore in the calm waters of the Braden River and the Manatee River, which can be reached in just 15 minutes. These rivers also connect residents to the Sarasota Bay and the Gulf of Mexico. Downtown Bradenton, Holmes Beach and Anna Maria Island are only a few miles away, and suburban comforts such as a Wal-Mart Super Center, coffee shops and restaurants are very close to the neighborhood.
