Shoreland Woods in Sarasota is a venerable neighborhood located west of the Tamiami Trail and just north of Siesta Drive. It is the last subdivision that people see as they cross the Siesta Drive drawbridge to enjoy the dazzling white sands of the world-famous beaches of Siesta Key.
Not many house hunters are aware of this charming subdivision since it is surrounded by thick forest patches of mature oak trees and lush Florida vegetation; this is, in fact, an attractive feature for home shoppers looking for lots of shade and privacy.
Shoreland Woods is a residential enclave that is mostly separated from the Gulf of Mexico coastline by a thick mangrove patch. As with other Sarasota subdivisions located west of the Tamiami Trail, house hunters must act quickly when Shoreland Woods listings become available. Home shoppers are attracted by the prime location; in fact, residents can walk or ride their bikes to Downtown Sarasota or the pristine and secluded Shell Beach on Siesta Key. Residents have various public schools and private academies to choose from, and several shopping options such as Southside Village and the Westfield Siesta Key Mall are just minutes away.
