Some of the most upscale and elegant estate in Southwest Florida are located in an exclusive community that you have probably never heard of. Lemon Bay Estates is located right on the Intracoastal Waterway just north and across from Manasota Beach. This is where the most spectacular waterfront estates in Venice can be found.
Lemon Bay Estates is one of the greenest neighborhoods in the Sunshine State; it is surrounded by nature preserves and it offers tranquil waterfront views of Manasota Key. Vanilla-sky sunsets and the refreshing breeze coming from the Gulf of Mexico are part of daily life in Lemon Bay Estates. The residences here are very luxurious; they are all modeled after the most exclusive resort villas in the Mediterranean and they pay homage to the real estate vision of American circus magnate John Ringling.
Although there are only a little over a dozen properties in Lemon Bay Estates, the real estate market is active. As of August 2014, there were two listings available; one for a gorgeous five-bedroom mansion built in 2008. This 6,263 square feet waterfront estate on a one-acre lot was listed under $2.5M. A four-bedroom and three-bedroom home with 3,794 square feet of living space was listed under $1.6M.
To get an idea of what life is like at Lemon Bay Estates, it helps to know that there are two helipads in the neighborhood, and that boaters have to keep their yachts in local marinas because private dock space is not allowed due to nature conservation standards. For all its privacy and seclusion, Lemon Bay Estates is only down the road from shopping and dining off the Tamiami Trail in Venice. Manasota Beach is a ten minute drive away. This neighborhood is served by Englewood Elementary, LA Ainger Middle and Lemon Bay High Schools. There are a few prestigious private academies nearby as well.
