Atlanta-based private home builder Ashton Woods is increasing its footprint in the growing Southwest Florida real estate market. Ashton Woods recently announced its intention to build 91 homes at its new Whitaker Park residential development near Fruitville in Sarasota; this announcement followed its late 2012 acquisition of nearly 100 home sites at the placid Rosedale Golf and Country Club in East Bradenton. The builder is once again making headlines in Bradenton, and this time its plans are more upscale.
Palma Vista will be Asthon Woods’ salute to prosperity in Manatee County. Located near Palma Sola Boulevard and Cortez Road, Palma Vista will consist of 23 luxury homes with generous living spaces ranging from 2,400 to 3,800 square feet. According to Josh Salman of the Sarasota Herald-Tribune, the floor plans at Palma Vista will include homes in three, four and five-bedroom configurations. The single-family residential architecture design will be in the Key West home style, which may include large verandas, high ceilings, wide windows, and inviting porches.
This new residential project will be located near Palma Sola Bay, just five minutes south of Manatee Avenue West, which connects the barrier islands of Holmes Beach and Anna Maria with continental Florida. The historic Village of Cortez is already home to some of the most coveted and luxurious single-family homes and condos in Manatee County.
Palma Vista will be a welcome addition, and future homeowners will surely enjoy the waterfront views, the balmy breeze from the Gulf of Mexico many seafood restaurants, art galleries and boutiques in the area. Palma Vista will be a great neighborhood for boating and fishing enthusiasts as well as young families.
