Buying Real Estate in Sarasota or Manatee County

I work with a lot of out of town buyers.  Some know Sarasota or Manatee County well because it’s a favorite vacation spot or they might have family or friends who live here, but some don’t know the area at all.  Some not only don’t know the area, but they don’t know the state of Florida too well either.  If you are reading this you are already moving in the right direction.  You’re obviously interested in Sarasota or Manatee County Real Estate and let me tell you when it comes to living in Southwest Florida you couldn’t live in a finer area.  Shopping, restaurants, the arts, beaches, boating, golfing and more, this area has it all.

With that being said, if you are someone who knows you want to be in Florida or to be more specific Sarasota or Manatee County, but don’t know the area too well, please give us a call to show you around.  Many times I have taken an hour or two to show buyers not only the Real Estate, but the town and the beaches too.  I have no problem showing off this wonderful area.  Believe me, my husband and I become tour guides any time family or friends come to the area and quite frankly we enjoy it.

I bring all this up because of a recent situation with one of my potential buyers.  He contacted me almost two years ago and we emailed back and forth for a while, but he cooled off on the idea of living down here.  Recently he resurfaced again, but he didn’t call or email this time. Believe it or not he was in town with his wife and noticed my car with my name on it and said, “Hello Wendy” (we had not yet met face to face).  Talk about fortuitous!  I was just finishing up with another couple at one of the builders models so I had time to chat.  He introduced himself and said they were interested once again on moving down here (from Illinois).  They drove down to look at one community only and figured they would negotiate directly with the builder if they liked what they saw.  I mentioned to them they have lots of options and we need to check out some other areas before committing to one neighborhood and one builder.  For the next few hours we previewed a few neighborhoods and I laid out the pros and cons for every location and builder.  They did return home, but we are still in touch and will hopefully get something together soon.
