In 2019, Lakewood Ranch held the 22nd edition of its annual Tour of Homes real estate event, and one of the villages certainly worth visiting during the tours is Genoa, part of the exclusive gated community known as The Lake Club. The initial phase of development in this upscale neighborhood started in February with new construction opportunities starting around $600K, but property values have quickly appreciated since and homes in 2024 are double that. Latest pricing at Genoa at the Lake Club will be found below if there is inventory.
Genoa at the Lake Club is being developed by Stock Signature Homes, a builder known for its upscale floor plans and exclusive gated communities. The overall layout of the neighborhood follows the Tuscan resort style of The Lake Club, but the eight floor plans selected include Caribbean, Coastal, and Mediterranean architectural designs. With a floor plan such as the Cambria, for example, you get 2,767 square feet of living space with three bedrooms and three full bathrooms plus another 1,000 square feet of outdoor space. The living spaces are being designed by respected firms such as Soco Interiors, Marc-Michaels, and Clive Daniel Homes. Some listings offer enclosed private swimming pools designed by Serenity Pool & Spa.
Within The Lake Club, Genoa takes up about 400 acres of land, but only 300 home sites have been platted for the purpose of giving homeowners options to build swimming pools, large Florida rooms, playgrounds, or sundecks. Many of the properties overlook lakes and ponds; some are surrounded by small forest patches for maximum privacy. Living in Genoa means having access to the Grande Clubhouse of The Lake Club, which features a bar, lounge space, terraces, and two resort-style swimming pools.
In terms of suburban comforts, Genoa at the Lake Club homeowners have the convenience of living just north of University Parkway, a main road that has various commercial district to the west. A Domino’s Pizza and Dunkin’ Donuts are just outside the gates. The University Corner shopping center is about five minutes away, and this is where you can find a Publix supermarket with a renovated deli counter. If you continue driving west for a few more minutes, you will find Nathan Benderson Park, which is perfect for family fun, and The Mall at University Park Center. Driving to Bradenton Beach or Siesta Key will take you less than an hour.
