New Land Purchase by Medallion Home in Parrish Florida

Medallion Home at Country Meadows in Bradenton St Croix ModelThe regional housing market in Southwest Florida is picking up once again.  According to a news report filed by Josh Salman in the Bradenton Herald in mid-September, Medallion Home is planning a new 94-acre residential development in the area, this time in Parrish.

Medallion Home acquired the property in an auction that pushed the winning bid to a little over $800K.  The land is located near Ft. Hamer and Golf Course Road, and it joins the other developments by Medallion Home in Parrish: Gamble Creek Estates, River Plantation and Twin Rivers.

The residential builder community in Florida has been looking at East Manatee County lately as an area ripe for development, with the unincorporated community of Parrish leading the way.  Parrish is a place that many families are sure to find appealing. There is a quiet and rural Old Florida feel to Parrish, complete with horse farms and leafy meadows.  Life in Parrish is more relaxed than the Manatee County neighborhoods closer to the Gulf Beaches, and yet it is not far from the Bradenton, Sarasota and Tampa Bay metropolitan areas.  Home prices are still affordable, although with more families and young professionals moving into Parrish, properties are bound to appreciate fast.

Medallion Home has been building homes and developing communities in Southwest Florida since 1984.  While most of the United States was experiencing a slump in home sales and new residential construction last year, Medallion Home recorded sales in excess of $60 million -most in Manatee County.  Another area developer, Neal Communities has also been busy acquiring land in Southwest Florida, which has become one of the most desirable housing markets in the U.S.
