Despite being a reasonably large community, Regency Oaks Preserve Palmetto has not listed too many homes available for sale in recent months, and this is probable caused by the ongoing residential and commercial development in nearby Parrish and around the intersection between I-75 and I-275. This part of town is growing very quickly, and homeowners at Regency Oaks are likely holding on to their properties to maximize their equity.
Development of Regency Oaks Preserve Palmetto unfolded between the mid-1990s until about 2015. There are three residential sections; the Preserve is the most recently completed and also the most luxurious. By virtue of being located next door to the Moccasin Wallow Golf Club, Regency Oaks offers a park-like ambiance similar to a country club; in fact, some of the homes located on the eastern end of the neighborhood offer nice views of the fairways.
Most of the single-family residences in Regency Oaks feature the Mediterranean revival style of architecture; in the Preserve, however, you can find custom-built properties with various looks. Many of the homes are surrounded by greenbelt areas or located near ponds. Home values here range between $260K and $1.3 million. The more modest three-bedroom houses offer 1,450 square feet of interior, but the custom-built estates tend to be larger than 3,000 square feet and up to five bedrooms. Nearly all homes have covered lanais, but the most well-appointed properties include swimming pools and summer kitchens. Golf enthusiasts are naturally drawn to Regency Oaks because of its proximity to the courses at Buffalo Creek and Moccasin Wallow, but this is also a great neighborhood for families because it is not far from attractions such as Terra Ceia Preserve, the Florida Railroad Museum, Ellenton Premium Outlets, and the Bradenton Riverwalk. The beaches of Anna Maria Island and St. Petersburg are about 40 minutes away, and the new Publix supermarket at Gateway Commons is just a few minutes north.
